Most people on this planet know what climate change means. Some people know about climate change but don’t care. Next, there are the people who are familiar with climate change and do things like use reusable bags, water bottles, think of where they buy from and use solar-powered/electric things instead of gas. Amongst this world there are then people who put in a ton of work to improve the planet, these are people who demonstrate a passion for climate change and care deeply about saving this earth. Whether it’s raising awareness, collecting money or devoting their career to preserving our planet these individuals go out of their way, think out of the box and put their best foot forward to make up for the mistakes that humankind has made to hurt our earth. Lastly, remain the people who assume that climate change is a hoax, or will harm our planet to serve their own needs or harm it for no purpose whatsoever.
Now that you know the type of people when it comes to climate change, what is climate change? Well, climate change is its name. It’s the FACT that our earth is changing and when I mean changing I don’t mean clothes. By changing I mean it’s getting old but not naturally it’s “getting old” because of humans. When humans grow old parts of their body begin shutting down then once that happens it gradually runs out of resources and nutrients then later dies. That is exactly what’s happening with our planet but it’s being caused by human pollution, and damage and as a result, it is going to affect us in the long term. Every day more and more gases are going into our air and more plastic goes into our oceans.
At this point, it seems impossible to stop climate change but it isn’t. Nonetheless, we still have some time left and if used properly we can harness that and reverse climate change. Because in a couple of years it will become irreversible. The cold truth is that it would take a worldwide awakening to fix this. If we were to, the biggest hit will be on big companies that profit from harming our land. For example, a good portion of our world’s pollution comes from energy plants. To get rid of this we would need to change to 100% renewable energy now that may SEEM impossible but it isn’t. We know it would be expensive and very hard but in the future, we will be thanking ourselves. If we were to fix climate change and get rid of our carbon footprint it would improve our course for the future.
So in conclusion, what I mean by we have a lack of time is we as humans have lost time and the only way to gain it back here on this earth is to put in the work or else we’ll regret it. Like you’ve heard before, climate change is like driving a wall into a car. You can slow it down though one day you’ll eventually hit the wall. We simply just need someone to hit the breaks before this happens.
